What you need:
- Groundnut (pounded)
- Salt to taste
- 2 chopped onions (optional)
- Mix the pounded groundnut together with water to make a thin mixture, ensuring all the lumps have been removed.
- Heat in a saucepan and leave to simmer, stirring now and again to ensure it does not stick to the bottom.
- Onions, garlic and salt should be added towards the end.
- Leave on the low heat until oil comes out on top. Serve with matooke, rice or ugali.
